  • Care guide:

    Light:
    This tropical understory dweller thrives best in medium to bright, indirect sunlight. Keep it safely shielded away from harsh, direct sun exposure, which can scorch its delicate fuzzy leaves.

    Water:
    Aim for consistent, balanced moisture without letting the plant sit in soggy conditions. Water thoroughly only when the top few centimeters of the potting medium have dried out, and consider using filtered or rainwater since Alocasias can be quite sensitive to the minerals found in regular tap water.

    Soil:
    Excellent aeration around the roots is vital to keep this jewel happy and prevent rot. Utilize a chunky, premium aroid potting mix containing plenty of orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, or pumice to ensure rapid drainage while maintaining a touch of moisture retention.

    Tips:
    To mimic its natural jungle habitat, provide a warm environment with high humidity levels, ideally around 60% or more, while being careful not to mist the velvety leaves directly to avoid fungal spots. Wipe the fuzzy leaves gently with a dry, soft cloth occasionally to keep them dust-free and radiant.
